Our Approach to Support

Thriving Tree Teaching uses a personalized, evidence-informed blend of ABA, ACT, DBT, and CBT strategies to help children and families build practical everyday skills in regulation, flexibility, problem solving, and confidence.

Our Approach to Support

At Thriving Tree Teaching, we work collaboratively with children and families to build meaningful skills that support confidence, regulation, and participation in everyday life at home and in the community. Many of the areas families seek support with—such as executive functioning, emotional regulation, flexibility, and problem solving—benefit from approaches that consider behaviour, thinking, and emotional processes together.

For this reason, we use a blended, evidence-informed approach. Rather than relying on a single therapy model, we integrate strategies from several established frameworks to create practical, individualized supports that reflect each child’s strengths and each family’s goals and routines.
Our work may draw from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

By combining these approaches, we support children in strengthening areas such as emotional regulation, executive functioning, flexible thinking, coping strategies, and social understanding. Our role is to work alongside families to develop practical tools and supports that fit naturally into everyday life.
